This is the basic philosophy Montminy Bédard & Associés has adopted
since its inception. MBA believes that "fund-raising is friend-raising":
it is to develop on-going and sustaining relationships. MBA asserts
also that those relationships must be established between the donor
and the organisation and not between donor and consultant. This
the reason why, notwithstanding the American way which promotes
the assignment of on-site staff who go back to their firm with accumulated
knowledge at the end of the fundraising campaign, MBA insists on staff training
during the consultation period to ensure that knowledge transfer
maximises the consultants' involvement.
This approach is by far the most effective, the least expensive
and the most productive.
Furthermore, MBA does not hire junior staff to act as consultants
to its clients. Only senior partners with a vast expertise can
serve our clients, and because they are partners, they have a stake
in undertaking successful fundraising campaigns and develop our reputation for
excellence.
